Manatee Days
Seeing some really big manatees around, I think there are going to be some young ones around soon. These are some really nice days right now before it gets too hot. Critters are moving and having there babies. I saw the baby flounder in the snook light and caught a 10" yesterday too.

Eco Tours and Photography
Everglades National Park and surrounding areas of swamp and mangrove trees provide an extremely delicate balance of nature at its purest. These areas are under constant pressure from human encroachment and may not be around forever. This is an opportunity to possibly see something once in a lifetime. Every trip is different due to always changing conditions; just like this environment, something is always stirring. Capt. Zeke Schryver is the owner/operator of Southern Viking Charters and a second-generation native of S.W. Florida. Environmental awareness was always part of him while growing up in Naples. He currently has two boats for Eco tours and green photography charters. Drinks, ice, and food are part of these trips (you'll enjoy our southern hospitality). Bring your camera, towel, sunscreen, hat and a positive attitude and lets go find some action!

Beach fishing Day
I had the pleasure of taking Megan, Dave, Abe and little Ginger, and Jo Scully on a beautiful morning boat trip. The birds were feeding while the dolphins were hunting the mud bars chasing mullet and teaching their young-uns. Keewaydin Island is so peaceful in the morning before the other boaters find her. The sheepshead and ladyfish are hungry and eagerly took the shrimp offerings. Dave and his son Abe were persistent and caught a number of fish before we had to head to the barn. A crisp morning sun truly awakens the spirits on another fine day on the water. Z
